Chlorogenic Acid and Nice Customers

So I have a friend who has the pretty hard job of being a customer service agent via phone and email support.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had the displeasure of working in such an environment, but its best to be avoided if at all possible. You see the worst of humanity.

When people are angry, upset, entitled, and forget that you, too, are a human being and that no, you did not single handedly cause their issue and you are actually trying to help them.

When I worked at that giant, red, Big Box Retailer and seller of all things ever (you know, the place you go to buy a pack of toilet paper and come out with a cart full of crap and a $200 bill)… oh the names I was called. The threats that were made.

Even when I was pregnant, exhausted and clearly doing my best to just make people happy so they would shut up an go away – they still somehow made it personal and would verbally attack me and my unborn baby because I couldn’t return their used, dirty Christmas themed door mat… in July, without a receipt.

ANYWAY, look at me getting off topic as I love to do.

My friend.. the saint of phone support for a weight-loss product distribution company (name withheld for obvious reasons), said that she just personally received one of those coveted “customer satisfaction letters”.

You know, when a happy customer actually takes the time out of their day to write a THANK YOU to the company. People still do that? I guess so. She said they got the customer’s permission to publish it on their site, but I, ever so sneaky, asked if I could also put a copy here, for two reasons:

One: a person, doing something nice? Can I spread that around please?

And reason two: Its about a product that actually works, apparently.

Here is the letter:

Dear Customer Service Department,

I have a wedding to attend soon and purchased your product to get ready for that event.

Though I did not need to lose a huge amount of weight, I wanted to
slim down and look my best. I lost 9 pounds with two bottles of
green-coffee-thin and my weight is right where I hoped it would be.

I felt really good while taking it and am happy that I decided to try it
when I heard about it from Dr. Oz. I am pleased that it is a natural,
safe, effective product.

I have been recommending it to others and am pleased
with my results.

When I called your customer service rep and told her I was stopping
shipments, I told her it was because I had reached my goal and my
weight was where I wanted it to be.

Two shipments of your product did what I needed. Your product worked and my weight is at goal so I do not need it anymore.

I appreciate your processing the refund, including shipping, for the order that I sent back. I am happy and relieved to know that your company policies are fair and

Thank you very much,

Hmmm… I know everyone is talking about green coffee (well it’s the Chlorogenic Acid that actually is all the rage), but now my friend is confirming that their company isn’t getting returns, but actual thank you letters? No phone screaming? No reports of people pooping their pants at work? (Im looking at you, Olestra).

And so… look what I went ahead and purchased.

Green Coffee Thin Ingredients

Because crap… I wont lie. The last few years of injury, work stress, mommy stress, marriage stress, bad hair day stress and stress from stress have all caused me to get… ermm.. softer looking than I would prefer. My stomach currently resembles this:

  Tummy Flab

I took a pic of the ingredients because as you can see, its JUST the good stuff. No other fluff or sweeteners or garbage. I’ve only just started taking them and so far all I can say is I don’t fee any different.

No buzz or anything like that.

I still have my morning cup of coffee too (brewed coffee doesn’t serve as a good source of chlorogenic acid as the roasting process removes most of it), and just take one of these along with my now doctor recommended vitamin D (a story for another day. I live in FL, but I am low of vitamin D? What??).

When it comes to chlorogenic acid, research says it has specifically been shown to inhibit an enzyme, glucose-6-phosphatase, that promotes the formation of glucose (sugar) in the liver.

Additionally, various studies have suggested that chlorogenic acid slows absorption of fat from food intake and also activates metabolism of extra fat. I’ve also read some blogs that say “meh” about it. But I am going to remain hopeful this time.

I still don’t take daily mulitviatims because as I said earlier, the jury is out on their real effectivness.

Also… we have the Vitamix now. Every morning I have a green smoothie full of kale, spinach, local honey, carrots, celery, broccoli, flax seed, fresh peanut butter, and whatever fruit I have on hand. I feel AMAZING and any other breakfast now leaves me feeling heavy and tired.

(I just realized, you are probably thinking, “wtf? She has that for breakfast every morning and is complaining about being pudgy? How??

I will tell you how:

I eat 3 super healthy meals a day, and I don’t ever keep crap food in the house.

But recently life really has been extremely stressful for so many reasons and I have been eating larger portions at meals (and calories are calories), and sneaking candy at the check out lane, and maybe even sometimes succumbing to late night drives to Steak N Shake to get one of their Birthday Cake Milkshakes because OMG SO GOOD).

Crap.. did I just admit this all out-loud?

I will keep you updated on the Green Coffee Thin stuff. So far so good.

About Anna

Hi there! This is my little blog project where I am trying to learn more about health, wellness and living a balanced life, while also sharing a bit of my silly side as well. By "silly" I mean sarcastic. And by "a bit" I mean way too much. Sorry about that.♥ - Anna

Your blog came up when I was looking for more information on Green Coffee Thin. I have enjoyed perusing through your site gathering some helpful information. I am on the brink of ordering GCT for me and my husband. I am constantly on the lookout for remedies for this and that. My question is: Since you reported on GCT almost a year ago, what did you find?

Hey there Nancy! I found that it really does work in that I felt less hungry and lost weight without doing any exercise. The only advice I would give is don’t skip on any doses because then it’s like starting over but if you’re consistent then you should feel a difference. Hope that answered your question. :)
