Your Own Personal Time Machine

People never believe that they’re actually getting older. That’s why they:

  • Smoke cigarettes
  • Do drugs
  • Drink too much
  • Don’t sleep enough
  • East fast food
  • Never exercise

It’s not until years later when they have blown out knees and a ruined liver that they realize it’s too late to fix things.

Do you wish you could turn back the clock with a time machine? Go back in time and take care of your body a little bit better?

If you lived just a few years earlier, you’d be out of luck.

But with this recent breakthrough . . . well, I’ll tell you about that in a second.

The Biggest Problem With Modern Medicine

Think for a minute about the times you’ve seen a doctor recently. What’s the first thing they ask you?

“Is anything wrong?”

The question they should be asking is:

“Is anything right?”

Is your immune system up to snuff? Are your senses still sharp? Is your brain quick and nimble? Are your bones tough, joints flexible, and muscles strong? Do you have the right levels of hormones and enzymes?

You get the idea.

True health isn’t just the absence of disease; true health is a well-functioning body that fights off diseases before they even begin to affect you.

But as we get older, true health gets harder and harder to attain.

  • Bones become brittle
  • Eyesight begins to dim
  • We become absent-minded and forgetful
  • Muscle fade away
  • Bacteria and viruses start to break down our defenses

Doctors try to keep you healthy by fixing problems as they come up . . . but that’s like the mythological Dutch boy with his fingers in the dike, trying to plug the leaks. It’s a losing battle that just leaves you sick and exhausted, struggling with the symptoms of age.

Wouldn’t it make much more sense to just . . . stay younger?

“Of course it would,” you snort, “but that’s impossible.”

And if I was writing this five years ago, you’d be right. But here I am getting ahead of myself again . . .

About modernhealthproject

Hi there! This is my little blog project where I am trying to learn more about health, wellness and living a balanced life, while also sharing a bit of my silly side as well. By "silly" I mean sarcastic. And by "a bit" I mean way too much. Sorry about that.♥ - Anna
